How long do credit bureaus have to respond to my challenge?
Answered By Sophia Caylar, Editor
Based on the recent revisions done on the
Fair Credit Reporting Act, a credit bureau is
obliged to respond to a challenge within 30 days.
But, credit bureaus are given the right to
consider a challenge as irrelevant and
frivolous. Also, even though there is a 30
day limit for response, there is little that
anyone can do if they don't do so.
